Natalie –
Beautiful and heartbreaking glimpse into the lives of teenage boys in Germany during WW2. Kathryn Lee Moss portrays their inner conflict of being safe and accepting the status quo or being brave and standing up for what they know is right. Captivating and inspiring! Sandy –
I jumped into this book thinking the characters were made up. It wasn’t until the end that I saw a photograph of the three young men together and read about the historical updates that I learned the truth. I was already brought to tears by the courageous actions and devastating events these teens went through and now it was multiplied a hundredfold.
These boys wanted to make a difference by spreading the truth and inspiring their countrymen to stand up to Hitler. They didn’t know if people would read their words and pass it on to other people. My sincere hope is that many people will read this book and recommend it to all their friends and family. I believe it has the power to impact people for the better. I did receive a free advance copy of this book for review.
Audrey Wendel –
If you don’t know about Helmuth Hubener, now is your chance to learn his tragic yet heroic true story! Even if you know his story, this book is worth your time.
Kathryn combines gut-wrenching events from WWII with courage and perseverance in the face of insurmountable odds in such a way that you finish the book with a desire to stand up for what is right in your own life, despite the consequences. Definitely worth the read. Truly all the feels. Highly recommended. I received a free advanced copy for review.
